Foundational Scripture
John 15:13 (Amplified)
No one has greater love [nor stronger commitment] than to lay down his own life for his friends.
THE US DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE describes Memorial Day as a day to be solemnly observed, not celebrated, annually, on the last Monday in May. It is a day to memorialize, or remember, and honor all those who died during military service to the U.S. during peacetime and war. The tradition dates back to the American Civil War period, when many visited sacred landmarks associated with the war, including cemeteries and memorials. Additionally, the graves of the fallen were decorated. The practice gained national prominence, eventually becoming enshrined as a national holiday. Annually, volunteers place flags on graves at national cemeteries – local observances vary.
MEMORIAL DAY 2025 is Monday, May 26th. Interestingly, the day is often associated with the unofficial start of the summer season, however, it should best be elevated as a consecrated day of remembrance, solemn reflection, and national unity.

Pray For Our Fallen
LORD OF HOST, please don’t allow the sacrifices of so many men and women to be for naught…Many would be stirred from eternal rest if they could see the state of this great Nation in 2025 and how far we have strayed from the ideals they gave all for (to secure). Yet we reserve hope with new leadership on the National level, as we discern a season of change. SCRIPTURE TEACHES (Psalm 33:12) that “Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom He has chosen as His own inheritance.”
THEREFORE, we entreat You, Blessed Lord, please send Your Holy Spirit to inhabit our land once more. Rouse us from our spiritual slumber; enliven us, convict us of our apostasy, revive our faith, and cause us to hunger for the Righteousness that is evidenced in changed lives and consistent fellowship with You. These prayers we lifted to the Throne of Grace for the sake of the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen, and Amen!!
